Web 2.0 vs Enterprise 2.0

Looking from the organisational perspective, would anyone disagree with me if I say the following:

Enterprise 2.0 is internal to an organisation and Web 2.0 is external to an organisation. However, both Enterprise 2.0 and Web 2.0 can be powered by the same technology platform if the organisation chooses to do it. For example, Kapow can be used for internal and / or external mashups.

I would be inclined to say that Web 2.0 represents tools used for social networking, and the process thereof; Enterprise 2.0 would represent utilizing Web 2.0 tools and processes within an internal organization.
E20 may require (justify?) the implementation of some restrictions on access or usage that would not likely be seen in the W20 environment – a seeming contradiction to the whole concept, but I don’t believe so. I see that as more of an adaptation feature.
Utilizing the same technology platform is exciting, and one way of blending positive aspects of both E20 and W20.

Following your comment, I would rephrase my statement:

Enterprise 2.0 is the application of Web 2.0 technologies within an organisation (with some restrictions – maybe)

After reading your comment, I do think my statement at the start is quite silly. There are fundamental differences between E2 and W2. W2 being more focused on social and E2 more focus on collaboration (through the usage social elements / technologies) and withholding knowledge. I don’t think I explain myself very well here. Let me write a post over the weekend to clarify.
